Yes, they can. Pythons eat almost anything they can get their jaws around by stretching their mouths four times wider than their skulls. To do so, the python opens its mouth at the joint in the middle of its jaw, and the two halves of the lower jaw flare out to the sides, then the skin and tissue in between stretch out wide enough to accommodate the food. So as you can see the skull we have right here, the two halves of the lower jaw are actually separated. Not to mention the size of the specimen, overall, it's a must-have item in every oddities collector cabinet.

I truly could not be happier with my new little viper!! The art alone is superb! The construction is so solid and perfect, and as delicate as it is, it isn't crumbly or fragile. The way it's mounted through magnets into the frame is genius, the whole thing is so aesthetically pleasing. I can feel how much love, passion and patience this artist has for his work. There was a little snafu with the delivery in my apartment complex (in no way his fault), and when I needed his help he responded to my message immediately in a problem solving, compassionate way. In a world where we are desensitized and expecting a lack of human connection when it comes to purchasing things online, I was beyond grateful for this authentic human interaction.
