Caduceus is an ancient symbol that depicts a staff with two entwined snakes

It has been used as a symbol of commerce, diplomacy, thieves, travelers, and negotiation, and is often associated with the Messenger of the Gods in Greek Mythology. He was inspired to create this symbol after witnessing a battle between two snakes, the Messenger of the Gods intervened to stop the conflict. As a symbol of peace, the snakes then wrapped themselves around his staff, which became the Caduceus.
